“Not in God’s Image”

Tyler R. Martin

In this world us monsters dwell
Torn between heaven and hell,
We feast upon all that shine
And tear the vines that to nature bind.
What once was tethered to the Earth
For that brief time since we monster’s birth
Have denied all that had tied us to
What mankind was destined to do.
